The RED^® Cine-Broadcast Pack, compatible with the V-RAPTOR^® and V-RAPTOR^® XL line of camera systems, brings powerful live broadcast capabilities with RED’s cinematic look. This module enables up to 2 channels of 4K 60P (HDR/SDR) over 12G-SDI and is IP-broadcast ready with SMPTE ST 2110 (TR-08)*. Equipped with a LEMO SMPTE 311M/304M hybrid fiber optical cable receptacle, which connects to a rack mountable 2U full rack or a half rack 4U Base Station.

Additionally, broadcasters gain access to advanced workflows with 3x, 4x super slow-motion, AI/ML augmentation and live to headset using 8K 120FPS R3Ds by using RED’s license-enabled RED Connect feature and an external CCU. The live 8K R3D workflow operates over the same hybrid fiber optical cable, offering simultaneous use with 12G-SDI transmission for maximum versatility and efficiency.

With camera FW version 1.8, RED is introducing a brand-new color pipeline for broadcast use. The Broadcast Color pipeline allows for painting of RED cameras in a live broadcast environment for on-demand adjustments and multi-camera color matching. The color can be adjusted with industry-standard RCPs to control painting parameters in real-time over IP. The painting parameters are saved per frame in the R3D metadata, allowing for a smooth transition into a non-destructive cinema workflow in post-production.
